THE PACKOUT PROJECT

We are so thankful you’re here, and we have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we’ve received.

Since 1916, Camp Jackson (formerly Camp Crockett) has provided life-changing outdoor experiences for young people across Pueblo and Southern Colorado. In October of 2025, the board of the Pueblo YMCA voted to close Camp Jackson.

Since then, a group of alumni have come together to launch the non-profit organization The Packout Project. Our goal is to purchase the property and implement a long-term vision and strategy to build a thriving camp which will continue to serve the community for generations.
